Government Highlights Significant Progress in Nano-Fertilizer Adoption and Drone-Led Agricultural Transformation

• India is pushing nano-fertilizers (Nano Urea, Nano DAP) and drone-based foliar spraying as twin levers to cut conventional urea/DAP imports, raise Nitrogen Use Efficiency (NUE), and reduce subsidy burden.
• The push is institutionally anchored in the Department of Fertilizers (Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers) and operationally amplified by the Namo Drone Didi scheme of the Department of Agriculture & Farmers' Welfare.
