Union Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman launches ‘PRARAMBH 2026’ — Income Tax Department’s nationwide awareness campaign on Income Tax Act, 2025

• PRARAMBH 2026 = Income Tax Department's multimedia, nationwide outreach campaign timed to the rollout of the Income-tax Act, 2025, which replaces the Income-tax Act, 1961 w.e.f. 01 April 2026.
• Launched by Union Finance & Corporate Affairs Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman; accompanied by Income Tax Website 2.0 and an AI-enabled chatbot 'Kar Saathi'.
• Examinable as: (a) direct tax reform (GS-III), (b) citizen-centric governance / e-governance (GS-II), (c) Prelims hook on dates, sections, languages, and digital tools.
