ITI UPGRADATION UNDER PM SETU

• PM-SETU (Pradhan Mantri Skilling and Employability Transformation through Upgraded ITIs) is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE) to modernise 1,000 Government ITIs in a Hub-and-Spoke model plus upgrade 5 NSTIs.
• Total outlay ₹60,000 crore with multilateral co-financing from ADB and World Bank; targets 20 lakh youth over 5 years.
• Significant for GS-II (welfare/skilling schemes) and GS-III (employment, human capital, industry-academia linkage).
