Government Expands DEH Initiative to Boost District-Level Export Competitiveness

• Districts as Export Hubs (DEH) is a DGFT-led initiative under the Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, aimed at making every Indian district an active node in national exports.
• Operates by identifying export-potential products in each district and operationalising State Export Promotion Committees (SEPC) + District Export Promotion Committees (DEPC) to draft District Export Action Plans (DEAPs).
• One District One Product (ODOP) has been operationally merged with DEH; DPIIT is a key stakeholder.
• Relevance: cuts across GS-III (economy/exports, agriculture, MSME) and GS-II (federal cooperative governance).
