Update on U-WIN Portal

• U-WIN (Universal Immunization Programme–WIN) is the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare's digital platform that records every vaccination event under the Universal Immunization Programme (UIP) for pregnant women and children (0–16 yrs) against 12 vaccine-preventable diseases.
• Modelled on the architecture of Co-WIN (COVID-19 vaccination platform), it issues QR-coded e-vaccination certificates and integrates with Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA).
• Relevance: cross-cuts GS-II (health governance, digital welfare delivery) and GS-III (S&T, digital public infrastructure); high prelims yield on numbers, ministry, and launch date.
