- On World TB Day (24 March 2026), India launched a first-of-its-kind global clinical study integrating Ayurveda with modern anti-tuberculosis treatment (ATT) as adjunct therapy, announced by Union MoS (IC) Science & Technology and Earth Sciences Dr Jitendra Singh.
- Joint initiative of the Ministry of Ayush and the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science & Technology, led by CCRAS (Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences).
- Operationalises the "whole-of-science, whole-of-government" approach to TB Mukt Bharat (TB-Free India) and the National TB Elimination Programme (NTEP).
