Facial Recognition System developed in Poshan Tracker Application for last mile tracking of Take-Home Ration distribution

• FRS module built into the Poshan Tracker app by the Ministry of Women & Child Development (MoWCD) under Mission Saksham Anganwadi & Poshan 2.0, to authenticate Take-Home Ration (THR) beneficiaries at the point of distribution.
• Combines Aadhaar-based e-KYC + face capture to prevent leakages, eliminate ghost beneficiaries and ensure last-mile delivery only to the registered beneficiary.
• UPSC relevance: intersection of DBT / JAM trinity, nutrition governance, digital public infrastructure (DPI), and data-privacy/biometric ethics.
