India Commissions 8,000 TPA Green Hydrogen Capacity till February 2026

• 8,000 tonnes per annum (TPA) of green hydrogen production capacity stands commissioned in India as of February 2026, under the National Green Hydrogen Mission (NGHM).
• Mission target: 5 Million Metric Tonnes (MMT) per annum by 2030, aiming to make India a global hub for production, use and export of green hydrogen.
• UPSC relevance: intersects GS-III (energy security, climate change, infrastructure) and current affairs on India's net-zero (2070) pathway.
