Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya addresses Inaugural Edition of The Khelo India Tribal Games; Highlights Rich Tribal Sporting Talent

• Khelo India Tribal Games (KITG) is a new vertical under the umbrella Khelo India Scheme of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports (MoYAS), dedicated to scouting and nurturing sporting talent from India's tribal regions.
• Inaugural edition launched in Chhattisgarh (March 2026) — first time a Khelo India vertical exclusively targets tribal athletes, alongside existing Youth, University, Para, and Winter Games verticals.
• UPSC relevance: intersects GS-II (welfare of STs, government schemes) and GS-I (tribal society, indigenous culture); ties into Constitutional provisions for STs and the 2036 Olympic bid narrative.
