Cabinet Approves Modified UDAN to Deepen Regional Connectivity and Expand Inclusive Air Access Across India

• Modified UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Naagrik) — refreshed Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS) approved by Union Cabinet on 25 March 2026 for FY 2026-27 to FY 2035-36 with ₹28,840 crore outlay.
• Implemented by Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA); aims at affordable air travel, last-mile/regional connectivity, 100 new airports from unserved airstrips, 200 helipads in hilly/island/aspirational areas.
