Japan commits Official Development Assistance (ODA) to India for four projects in sectors of Urban Transport, Health and Agriculture
- Japan committed JPY 275.858 billion (~Rs. 16,420 crore) as ODA loan for four projects in Punjab, Karnataka and Maharashtra across Urban Transport, Health and Agriculture sectors.
- Loan agreements signed between Government of India and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA); Notes exchanged on 24 March 2026.
- Reinforces the India–Japan Special Strategic and Global Partnership through the economic-cooperation pillar; Japan remains India's largest bilateral ODA donor.
