First Meeting of BRIC-Research Advisory Board (BRIC-RAB)

• BRIC-RAB is the apex research-oversight body of the Biotechnology Research and Innovation Council (BRIC), an autonomous society under the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science & Technology.
• BRIC was created by subsuming 14 autonomous institutes of DBT on 10 November 2023, restructuring India's biotech research landscape.
• The inaugural BRIC-RAB meeting (27–28 March 2026) marks the operationalisation of governance reforms aimed at transforming BRIC into a "cohesive, decentralized national biotechnology laboratory".
