• Khelo India Tribal Games (KITG) 2026 is India's first dedicated national multi-sport platform exclusively for tribal athletes, under the umbrella Khelo India programme of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports (MYAS).
• Inaugural edition: 25 March – 3 April 2026, hosted across Raipur, Jagdalpur and Sarguja in Chhattisgarh — a Left-Wing Extremism (LWE)-affected, tribal-majority state.
• Relevance for UPSC: intersects GS-I (tribal society), GS-II (welfare schemes for vulnerable sections), GS-III (inclusive growth) and the Khelo India sports-governance ecosystem.
