• Census 2027 is India's 16th decennial Census and the first fully digital Census in the country's history, featuring an optional Self-Enumeration Portal in 16 regional languages.
• On 3 April 2026, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla completed digital self-enumeration at his official residence, lending high-visibility political endorsement to the rollout.
