• MoSPI released draft uniform guidelines on 7 April 2026 for compiling Gross State Value Added (GSVA) with revised base year 2022-23 and District Domestic Product (DDP) estimates — pushing methodological standardisation down from national to sub-national and district level.
• Aligns sub-national accounts with the new GDP series (base 2022-23) released earlier, harmonising state and district estimates with national methodology and evolving international (SNA) standards.
