Jaipur Regional Agri Conference Sets New Roadmap for Indian Agriculture

• Western Regional Agriculture Conference held at Jaipur (Rajasthan) on 7 April 2026 under the Union Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers' Welfare, chaired by Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
• Part of a series of Regional Agri Conferences designed to evolve state-specific crop strategies under a Centre-State partnership ("One Agriculture – One Team").
• Core thrust: self-reliance (Atmanirbharta) in oilseeds & pulses, rollout of nationwide Farmer ID, push for natural farming, and the "Lab to Land" scientist outreach.
• Relevant to UPSC for GS-III (agriculture, food security, subsidy reform) and GS-II (cooperative federalism, e-governance via Farmer ID).
