Cabinet approves Jaipur Metro Project Phase-2

• Jaipur Metro Phase-2 is a 41 km North–South corridor (Prahladpura → Todi Mod) with 36 stations, cleared by the Union Cabinet on 8 April 2026 at ₹13,037.66 crore.
• Implementing SPV: Rajasthan Metro Rail Corporation Limited (RMRCL) — a 50:50 JV of Government of India and Government of Rajasthan.
• Funded as per the Metro Rail Policy, 2017 through GoI–State equity, subordinate debt and multilateral loans.
• Relevance: urban mobility, cooperative federalism, GS-III infrastructure, Metro Rail Policy 2017 compliance.
