Raksha Mantri-led IGoM takes stock of India’s readiness in view of evolving West Asia situation
- Informal Group of Ministers (IGoM) is an ad-hoc inter-ministerial coordination mechanism convened by the Union Govt to take stock of India's economic, energy and strategic preparedness against the evolving West Asia conflict of 2026.
- Chaired by Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh; the 3rd meeting on 08 April 2026 at Kartavya Bhawan-2, New Delhi focused on availability of LPG, petrol, diesel, fertilisers and essential commodities.
- Relevant for UPSC as a contemporary case-study of crisis-cabinet machinery, energy security, supply-chain resilience and diaspora protection (~9 million Indians in the Gulf).
