Union Minister Shri Manohar Lal Arrives in Bhutan; Reaffirms India–Bhutan Partnership on Clean Energy and Sustainable Development

• Union Power Minister Shri Manohar Lal's 4-day visit to Bhutan (April 2026) resulted in signing of the Tariff Protocol of Punatsangchhu-II HEP and a Methodology for Reactive Energy Accounting for cross-border power exchange.
• Reinforces hydropower as the anchor of India–Bhutan bilateral ties under the 2024 Joint Vision Statement on India–Bhutan Energy Partnership.
• Examinable for UPSC under India's Neighbourhood First policy, GS-II (IR) and GS-III (Energy Security).
