Ministry of Minority Affairs has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Patna under the PM VIKAS (Pradhan Mantri Virasat Ka Samvardhan) Scheme

• MoU signed (April 2026) between Ministry of Minority Affairs (MoMA) and IIT Patna under the PM VIKAS (Pradhan Mantri Virasat Ka Samvardhan) Scheme to skill 600 minority youth from Bihar in emerging tech job roles.
• Part of a wider pattern of MoMA tying up with premier institutes (IIT Palakkad, ICAR-CMFRI, NIFTEM-K) for technology-driven skilling under PM VIKAS.
• Relevant for UPSC under GS-II (welfare schemes for vulnerable sections, minorities) and GS-III (skill development, employment).
