India’s Seafood Exports Cross ₹72,000 Crore, Reach All-Time High in the history of marine products exports from the country; Frozen Shrimp Leads Exports; USA and China Remain Top Importers

• India's marine products exports touched an all-time high of ₹72,325.82 crore (US$ 8.28 billion) in FY 2025-26, with volumes of 19.32 lakh metric tonnes, per provisional MPEDA data.
• Frozen shrimp continues to dominate (~two-thirds of value); USA and China remain the top two importing countries.
• Falls under Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying; export promotion is led by MPEDA (Marine Products Export Development Authority) — directly relevant to GS-III (Agriculture/Economy, Food Processing, Export Promotion) and PMMSY.
