Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA) 2.0 App launched to strengthen monitoring and institutional coordination under National Action Plan for Drug Demand Reduction (NAPDDR)

• NMBA 2.0 App is an upgraded digital monitoring & coordination platform launched on 24 April 2026 under the National Action Plan for Drug Demand Reduction (NAPDDR) by the Department of Social Justice & Empowerment, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment.
• It operationalises real-time, dashboard-based tracking of de-addiction activities across States, Districts, Grant-in-Aid Institutions (GIAs) and spiritual organisations under NMBA.
• UPSC relevance: links GS-II (governance, vulnerable sections, social-sector schemes) and GS-III (internal security — drug trafficking) with a current digital-governance hook.
