Prime Minister extends best wishes on reconstitution of NITI Aayog
- NITI Aayog (National Institution for Transforming India) is the Government of India's apex public-policy think tank, created by a Cabinet Resolution dated 1 January 2015 to replace the Planning Commission.
- On 24 April 2026, the Centre notified a reconstitution of the Aayog, appointing a new Vice Chairperson and five Full-Time Members.
- Examinable both as a static institutional topic (GS-II — statutory/non-statutory bodies, cooperative federalism) and as a current affairs hook (composition update, role under 'Viksit Bharat @ 2047').
