• Schemes form part of the umbrella PM YASASVI (PM Young Achievers' Scholarship Award Scheme for Vibrant India) — flagship vehicle for educational empowerment of socially/educationally backward classes.
• Relevant for UPSC: maps to welfare schemes for vulnerable sections (GS-II), Articles 15(4), 16(4), 46, 340 of the Constitution, and Idate Commission legacy on DNTs.
