Union Health Ministry Releases RBSK 2.0 Guidelines at National Summit on Best Practices

• Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) 2.0 is the revamped child health screening & early intervention programme released by the Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW) under the National Health Mission (NHM).
• Retains and broadens the "4Ds" framework — Defects at birth, Diseases, Deficiencies, Developmental delays — while adding NCDs, mental health and behavioural concerns.
• Relevant for UPSC because it intersects GS-II (health, vulnerable sections, schemes) and GS-III (S&T — digital health); a high-probability prelims hook on numbers (age band, 4Ds, year of launch).
