• State Visit of H.E. Tô Lâm, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, to India on 05–07 May 2026.
• The visit produced the elevation of bilateral ties to an "Enhanced Comprehensive Strategic Partnership" (ECSP) — a tier above the 2016 Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
• Marks the 10th anniversary of the India–Vietnam Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (2016, signed during PM Modi's Hanoi visit).
