Historic Commencement of Viksit Bharat – G RAM G Act Across Rural India from July 1st 2026

• VB–G RAM G Act, 2025 = Viksit Bharat – Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) — the statutory successor to MGNREGA, 2005, operationalised across rural India from 1 July 2026.
• Raises the statutory rural employment guarantee from 100 → 125 days per household per financial year.
• Carries a ₹95,692 crore allocation and is steered by the Ministry of Rural Development.
• Examinable as the biggest restructuring of India's rural wage-employment architecture since 2005 — touches GS-II (welfare schemes, legislation) and GS-III (rural economy, employment).
