Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission Signs MoUs with Bihar, Maharashtra and Mizoram State Pharmacy Councils to Strengthen Medicine Safety and Promote Rational Use of Medicines Nationwide

• IPC (Ghaziabad), autonomous body under Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, signed three MoUs on 12 May 2026 with the Bihar, Maharashtra and Mizoram State Pharmacy Councils to deepen pharmacovigilance and rational drug use.
• UPSC relevance: ties together drug regulation architecture, PvPI (Pharmacovigilance Programme of India), cooperative federalism in health, and patient safety.
