Prime Ministrer Modi’s Vision Driving India’s EV Revolution: Karnataka Gets 1,243 New EV Chargers Under PM E-DRIVE scheme, Bengaluru Hosts National EV Charging Conference

• PM E-DRIVE (Pradhan Mantri Electric Drive Revolution in Innovative Vehicle Enhancement) is the Centre's flagship EV-adoption scheme administered by the Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI), with an outlay of ₹10,900 crore.
• On 12 May 2026, Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy approved 1,243 EV chargers for Karnataka at an outlay of ₹123.26 crore during the National Conference on Enabling Nationwide EV Charging Infrastructure held in Bengaluru.
