Raksha Mantri and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister lay foundation stones for AMCA’s Core Integration & Flight Testing Centre and Naval Systems Manufacturing Facility

• On 15 May 2026, Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh and AP CM N. Chandrababu Naidu laid foundation stones in Andhra Pradesh for the AMCA Core Integration & Flight Testing Centre, a Naval Systems Manufacturing Facility, ammunition/propellant/fuse plants, and a Drone City anchored by 8 companies.
• Marks operationalisation of the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) 5th-generation stealth fighter programme cleared earlier under an industry-partnership Execution Model.
• Concretises the Aatmanirbharta in Defence push; RM announced defence production is set to hit an all-time high of ₹1.75 lakh crore within 1–2 months.
