CSIR-AMPRI CELEBRATED 46TH FOUNDATION DAY WITH TRANSFER OF INDIGENOUS SODAR SYSTEM TECHNOLOGY TO INDUSTRY
- CSIR-AMPRI (Advanced Materials and Processes Research Institute), Bhopal, a constituent lab of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), marked its 46th Foundation Day (May 12-14, 2026) by transferring its indigenous SODAR (Sound Detection and Ranging) technology to M/s Meteoxperts Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Noida.
- SODAR is an acoustic remote-sensing system that profiles the Atmospheric Boundary Layer (ABL) — wind, temperature, turbulence — for weather forecasting, aviation, and pollution monitoring.
- Exemplifies the lab-to-industry (Technology Transfer) model under Atmanirbhar Bharat, reducing import dependence in environmental monitoring instruments.
