India and Norway Deepen Strategic Science & Innovation Partnership Through New Bilateral Agreements

• CSIR–DSIR (under India's Ministry of Science & Technology) signed five agreements with Norwegian research, academic and industrial bodies in Oslo on 18 May 2026, during PM Modi's visit to Norway.
• Domains: clean energy, offshore wind, sustainability/circular economy, geosciences, academic collaboration — operationalising the "Green Shift" agenda.
• For UPSC: tests India's bilateral S&T diplomacy with a Nordic/EFTA partner, complements India–EFTA TEPA and India's blue/green economy push.
