DFS organises Half-Day Workshop on Insolvency and Bankruptcy (Amendment) Act, 2026

• Department of Financial Services (DFS), Ministry of Finance held a half-day workshop on 19 May 2026 in New Delhi to deliberate the Insolvency and Bankruptcy (Amendment) Act, 2026.
• The Amendment Act (Presidential assent 6 April 2026) introduces a Creditor-Initiated Insolvency Resolution Process (CIIRP), group/cross-border insolvency, and tighter timelines — the most structural overhaul of the IBC since enactment.
