Rescheduling of the First International Big Cat Alliance (IBCA) Summit
- The First IBCA Summit, originally to be held in New Delhi on 1st June 2026 alongside the Fourth India–Africa Forum Summit (IAFS-IV), has been postponed by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC).
- Postponement follows a decision taken with the African Union (AU) Chairperson and AU Commission to defer IAFS-IV, to ensure broad participation by African Range countries.
- IBCA is a treaty-based intergovernmental organisation headquartered in India for conservation of 7 big cats — examinable both as current affairs (Prelims hook) and as a case of India's environmental diplomacy (GS-II/GS-III).
