Department of Telecommunications organized Second Meeting of the BRICS Working Group for Cooperation in ICTs under India’s BRICS Presidency 2026

• The Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Ministry of Communications, chaired the 2nd Meeting of the BRICS Working Group on Cooperation in ICTs on 21 May 2026 in virtual mode under India's BRICS Presidency 2026.
• Forum for BRICS coordination on future networks, Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI), cybersecurity, capacity building, and inclusive digital transformation for the Global South.
• For UPSC: connects GS-II (international groupings) and GS-III (S&T, cyber, digital economy); tests knowledge of BRICS mechanisms (BIFN, DBTF, DPI Focus Group) and India's flagship digital diplomacy.
