Kolkata to Host International Day of Yoga 2026 Main Event; Theme Announced as “Yoga for Healthy Ageing”

• 12th International Day of Yoga (IDY) main national event to be held in Kolkata, West Bengal on 21 June 2026, themed "Yoga for Healthy Ageing".
• Organised by the Ministry of Ayush through the Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY); announcement made at Yoga Mahotsav 2026, Khajuraho.
• Relevant for UPSC under GS-II (health, government schemes), GS-I (culture) and current affairs on India's soft-power diplomacy.
