Central Government notifies export levies on exports of petrol, diesel and aviation turbine fuel (ATF) for the fortnight beginning 1st June, 2026

• Special Additional Excise Duty (SAED) and Road & Infrastructure Cess (RIC) are export levies imposed on petrol, diesel and Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) to disincentivise exports and secure domestic availability.
• Rates are revised fortnightly based on average international prices of crude, petrol, diesel and ATF since the last review.
• Relevant for UPSC GS-III (Indian Economy — fiscal policy, energy security) and Prelims (taxation, cesses).
