• Flex Fuel Vehicles (FFVs) are vehicles with internal combustion engines designed to run on more than one fuel — typically petrol blended with ethanol from E20 up to E85/E100.
• Positioned by GoI as a triple-lever instrument: cuts crude imports, raises farm income (Annadata → Urjadata), and enables low-carbon mobility.
• Anchored in the Ethanol Blended Petrol (EBP) Programme under the National Policy on Biofuels, 2018 (amended 2022).
