Union Health Minister Shri J.P. Nadda Launches Nationwide Celebrations to Mark “10 Years of PMSMA – A Decade of Care”

• PMSMA = flagship maternal health scheme of Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW) providing free, fixed-day, comprehensive Antenatal Care (ANC) on the 9th of every month to pregnant women in their 2nd/3rd trimesters at public health facilities.
• Completed 10 years on 9 June 2026; nationwide celebrations launched under theme "10 Years of PMSMA – A Decade of Care" by Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda.
• Anchor scheme behind India's claim of an 86 % reduction in Maternal Mortality, outpacing the global average.
