Letters of Approval handed over in the presence of the Union Education Minister, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan to University of Bristol, University of York and University of New South Wales to set up campuses in India

• Three Letters of Approval (LoAs) issued by the Ministry of Education on 09 June 2026 to the University of Bristol, University of York and University of New South Wales (UNSW) to establish India campuses in Mumbai and Bengaluru.
• Operationalises the internationalisation pillar of NEP 2020 via the UGC (Setting up and Operation of Campuses of Foreign Higher Educational Institutions in India) Regulations, 2023.
• Important for UPSC as it links GS-II (education policy, government interventions) with GS-III (knowledge economy, FDI in services) and bilateral education diplomacy (UK, Australia).
