At an important meeting held in New Delhi under chairmanship of Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Shri Amit Shah, consensus reached among concerned states on long-pending Kishau Multipurpose Dam Project
- Kishau Multipurpose Project is a proposed 236 m high concrete gravity dam on the Tons River (largest tributary of the Yamuna), straddling the Himachal Pradesh–Uttarakhand border.
- One of three storage projects in the Upper Yamuna Basin (with Lakhwar and Renukaji) designed to resolve chronic dry-season water shortage for six states.
- Long-pending since the 1970s; inter-state consensus under Union Home & Cooperation Minister Amit Shah in 2024 revived its execution path.
