HMEFCC Shri Bhupender Yadav Presides over Event to Mark World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought in New Delhi
- World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought (WDCDD) is observed annually on 17 June under the UN Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD).
- The 2026 commemoration in New Delhi was presided over by HMEFCC Shri Bhupender Yadav, who announced India had brought 21.76 million hectares under restoration against the 26 million ha Bonn Challenge target for 2030.
