INDIAN ARMY CONTINGENT SET TO DEPART FOR MULTILATERAL MILITARY EXERCISE KHAAN QUEST

• Multinational peacekeeping exercise hosted annually by Mongolian Armed Forces, focused on UN Peace Support Operations under Chapter VII of the UN Charter.
• 2026 edition is the 23rd iteration; venue: Five Hills Training Area, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia; window 20 June – 03 July 2026.
• Relevant for UPSC under India's expanding defence diplomacy, UN peacekeeping footprint, and India–Mongolia "Strategic Partnership" (a "spiritual neighbour"/third-neighbour relationship).
