Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi disburses incentives worth around ₹2,400 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana

• PM-VBRY is an Employment Linked Incentive (ELI) scheme approved by the Union Cabinet, designed to reward first-time formal-sector employees and the employers who hire them, routed through EPFO.
• Outlay ₹99,446 crore; target >3.5 crore jobs over 2 years; registration window 1 Aug 2025 – 31 Jul 2027.
• UPSC relevance: flagship employment scheme bridging GS-II (welfare schemes) and GS-III (growth, employment, manufacturing).
