NIXI Marks 23rd Foundation Day

• NIXI (National Internet Exchange of India) is a not-for-profit Section 8 company under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), set up to manage India's domestic internet routing, the .IN ccTLD registry, and the Indian Registry for Internet Names and Numbers (IRINN).
• On 19 June 2026 it completed 23 years; MeitY Secretary launched 4 digital platforms to strengthen transparency, efficiency and domain security.
• Examinable as a GS-III digital-infrastructure / cybersecurity topic; frequently a Prelims trap (parent ministry, year of founding, company type).
