Hon’ble Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs sanctions over 42,000 houses under PMAY-U 2.0 in Madhya Pradesh; 38,000 families perform grih pravesh

• Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban 2.0 is the relaunched (2024) urban "Housing for All" mission targeting 1 crore additional urban families with central assistance of up to ₹2.50 lakh per house.
• On 20 June 2026, Union MoHUA Minister Shri Manohar Lal sanctioned over 42,000 houses in MP and presided over grih pravesh of ~38,000 families (total ~80,000 beneficiaries) at Sanwer, Indore.
• Significant because it operationalises PMAY-U 2.0 at state scale and showcases the Beneficiary-Led Construction (BLC) vertical in a BJP-ruled state under CM Dr Mohan Yadav.
