- Centre has expanded the Central Drugs Laboratory (CDL) at CCS-NIAH, Baghpat (UP) to test 42 veterinary vaccines (up from 2), via Gazette amendment to Drugs Rules, 1945.
- Move strengthens India's veterinary biological regulatory ecosystem under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940.
- For UPSC: intersects GS-II (health/animal-health regulation) and GS-III (agri-allied / one-health / vaccine sovereignty).
