India has committed to 500 GW of non-fossil capacity by 2030, backed by annual bids of 50 GW that reserve at least 10 GW of wind each year [4]. Grid bottlenecks

  • Variability demands resource adequacy, forecasting and renewable firming through storage and hybrids — the core agenda at Goa [1].

Land bottlenecks

Wind's promise is therefore constrained less by technology than by enabling infrastructure and land governance. Synchronising transmission build-out with bid trajectories, expanding storage-backed hybrids, streamlining state-level land and clearance windows, and strengthening discom offtake can convert record additions into a durable trajectory — carrying India from ambition to acceleration on its 100 GW wind by 2030 goal [2].
