The Escape from Agra was Shivaji's escape from house arrest at the court of the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb in 1666. It came after the Treaty of Purandar, which persuaded Shivaji to visit Agra. There he was insulted in court and kept under guard. His escape showed his cleverness. It also freed him to fight the Mughals again.
Example
Shivaji and his son Sambhaji hid inside large gift baskets of fruits and sweets that were being sent out of the house. The guards had stopped checking these baskets, so the two slipped out. Aurangzeb never captured Shivaji again.
