Start-ups have credibly shifted India from importing EO data to designing it, but true sovereignty needs indigenous launch access, radiation-hardened qualification standards and patient capital that survives mission failure. Sustained IN-SPACe hand-holding, treating early losses as learning cost, can convert this promising ecosystem into a durable strategic asset.
